BYLA Select Director
Ryan Doherty graduated from Burlington High School in 2014. As a Red Devil, he was a four-year varsity letter winner where he specialized as a long stick midfielder and defensemen. In his senior season, he was named captain, awarded the team’s most valuable player award, and was the Burlington Youth Lacrosse Association scholarship recipient. After Burlington, Doherty went on to play DIII lacrosse at Salem State University where he saw immediate action as a freshman. As a Viking, he earned two varsity letters and two NCAA Scholar-Athlete Awards (freshman and sophomore years respectively). After competing for two years at Salem State, he decided to put his playing days behind him to take a coaching opportunity with his former coach and team at BHS. Since 2016, Ryan has been an assistant coach on the Burlington High School varsity coaching staff. Since 2018 he has been heavily involved in Burlington Youth Lacrosse Association, where he serves as the Boys Select Director and Coach. In 2021 BYLA 7/8 select team won DII MBYLL State Championship. He has been selected as an MBYLL All Star Coach twice. In 2020 he co-founded Burlington’s own, “Lil Devs” lacrosse summer camp. He also coaches with HGR Lacrosse and Beantown Lacrosse Club Programs.
